Sometimes you have to start over after being forced to throw out what you believed was your grownup life, the thing you constructed out of what seemed like mature decisions. Sometimes the pieces you find to rebuild with aren’t much, and you’re just kind of hanging on, hoping the people around you will somehow catch and hold you while you try to cobble something together. That’s what happens to Efren “Chino” Flores, and he deals with it by embracing what comes, setting aside the problems of his past till he’s ready to heal them.
